Sometimes what’s good for business is good for the environment.
We have been selected by the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources as a Model Facility! This is due to the commitment of Journal Press employees, all of whom are working to make the company a leader in waste reduction.

We recycle waste film and plates, and in our composition and plate making departments we use only aqueous chemicals that are harmless to the environment.

In the pressroom, we eliminated the use of isopropyl alcohol, and reduced volatile organic compounds by using soy based and other environmentally friendly inks that allow us to decrease the volume of press washes.

We encourage our customers to select attractive and affordable recycled papers.

We recycle all waste paper from our pressroom and bindery operations.

By making a commitment to the environment we hope that our customers will join us, and together we can minimize the environmental impact of every project we handle–and even influence others in the industry.

From all of us at Journal Press.
